Potato Porridge with Fresh Cat Fish
  • Medium size fresh cat fish.
  • 4 irish potato cut into desired pieces
  • 1 medium size chopped onion
  • 2 medium size chopped tomato
  • 1 tbsps fresh ginger paste
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 2 medium size red fresh pepper, chopped
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 1 cooking spoon of grapeseed oil
  • Salt and seasoning to taste
  1. Wash the fish properly and cut into sizes.
  2. Marinate fish pieces with seasoning and salt for half an hour.
  3. Heat grapeseed oil in a pan and fry the fish pieces on both sides until light brown and keep aside.
  4. After that fry irish potatoes with salt and keep aside.
  5. Add chopped onion and bay leaves in remaining oil and fry till deep golden brown.
  6. Add tomato and cook for few minutes.
  7. Add fresh ginger paste, black pepper powder, red fresh pepper.
  8. Stir well and add fried potato.
  9. Mix and add water. Cover the pan and cook on medium heat for 5 to 8 minutes.
  10. Add fried fish. cook on low heat for 4-5 minutes.
  11. Serve hot, you can also serve with plain rice.
